Vegetables in the Table

We can get calcium, riboflavin, and iron in eating vegetables. When a good variety of vegetables is eaten in a generous amount each day, the body nutritional needs will be abundantly met. There are lots of way eating vegetables,it can be cook in a simple way and some of them just wash it and ready to eat. Here are some ways to get the most benefits from vegetables.

  • Serve raw vegetables like lettuce,cucumber.tomatoes,carrots,and turnips as often as possible.
  • If it is possible cook vegetables fresh from your garden
  • Cook vegetables whole or in large pieces. More nutrients are retained when less surface area is exposed.
  • Steam vegetables quickly or boil in as little water as possible.
  • never use baking soda it will destroy the vitamins.
  • serve vegetables everyday.
